Email Address & Newsletter Data: When you subscribe to the newsletter (e.g. via the Quick Maps download form), we collect your email address along with:

The date and time you subscribed
Whether you have received each email in our follow-up sequence (Days 3, 7, and 14)
A timestamp recording when you gave consent to receive emails (required for GDPR Article 7 compliance)

We only collect this information after you have given explicit consent by ticking the consent checkbox on the sign-up form. We never add you to a list automatically.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 uses cookies to collect information about page visits, traffic sources, and how visitors interact with our content. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Functional Cookies: We use essential cookies to remember your preferences (such as preferred edition and font settings). These cookies are necessary for the site to function and do not track you for advertising.

Purchases: If you purchase the book, payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your payment card details. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy applies to payment transactions.

Free Downloads: Individual toolkit items (survival cards, worksheets, reference guides) can be downloaded without providing any personal information. Only the Quick Maps PDF bundle requires an email address.

How We Use Your Information

We do not use your email address for any purpose beyond what you consented to at sign-up. We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data Retention

Newsletter subscriber records (email address, subscription date, and drip email tracking data) are retained for a maximum of 3 years from the date of subscription, after which they are automatically deleted. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

Day 3: A guide to navigating the most urgent chapters based on your situation
Day 7: An excerpt from Chapter 1 — the opening passage of the book
Day 14: Information about the full book (pay-what-you-can, starting at $5)

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing us directly. Unsubscribing immediately removes your record from our system.

Overseas Disclosure

In providing this service, personal information may be disclosed to recipients outside Australia, including servers and services located in the United States (Cloudflare, Google, Lemon Squeezy). This disclosure is covered by Australian Privacy Principle 8.1 (APP 8.1) under the Privacy Act 1988. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with Australian privacy standards.

Third-Party Services

This website uses the following services, each of which may process personal data:

Cloudflare — Website hosting and content delivery. Subscriber data is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, a distributed key-value store. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies.
Gmail API (Google) — We use the Gmail API (via OAuth2) to send welcome and follow-up emails from [email protected]. Google's privacy policy applies to email transmission.
Google Analytics 4 — Website analytics. Google's privacy policy applies to data collected by GA4.
Lemon Squeezy — Payment processing and digital product delivery.
Google Fonts — Web fonts (Atkinson Hyperlegible, Fraunces, Lexend, Open Sans). Google may collect your IP address when fonts are loaded.
